The body keeps its own time. A friend's death settles into ice and returning seasons. Motherhood rewrites the shape of days until they no longer belong to any calendar. A plant under stress emits a frequency no one is built to hear. Enzymes learn to digest what fire cannot. These films trace what adapts, and what that adaptation costs.

To meet a flower in a Latvian cemetery; the lyrical botany of Riga’s windowsills; the stillness of growth; among the specters, a garden awakes.
Sabine Gruffat is a French-American artist born in Bangkok, Thailand. She works with experimental video and animation, media-enhanced performance, participatory public art, and immersive installation. By actively disrupting both current and outmoded technology, Gruffat questions the standardized and mediatized world around us. She has produced digital media works for public spaces as well as interactive installations that have been shown at the Zolla Lieberman Gallery in Chicago, Art In General, Devotion Gallery, PS1 Contemporary Art Museum, and Hudson Franklin in New York.

AThe world above ground and the world below. Having been here, yet never truly here.
This film poem commemorates the passing of a dear friend from my youth. The poem was hand-engraved on a 400-foot-long roll of film.
Cherlyn Hsing-Hsin Liu is an artist, filmmaker, and writer whose practice draws on experimental literature, the conceptual avant-garde, and philosophy. Liu's work concerns materiality across different contexts and eras, including its transformation, symbolism, decay, and emotional resonance. Through film, poetry, painting, sculpture, and other media, she reflects the light and darkness of the world she lives in.

A cinematic essay on the chaotic experience of time, in which the filmmaker expresses her
transformative experience of motherhood through intimate letters, still photographs of her
homeland and dutch archival footage.
Froukje van Wengerden studied Directing Documentary at the Dutch Film Academy, where
she directed the experimental short Moving Landscapes (2015). She graduated with the
personal road movie Bring Me South (2016). Her debut I Was Only 14 (2016) premiered at
Hot Docs in Toronto and toured globally.

Aided by machine learning, a bioengineer creates a mutant enzyme inspired by larvae capable of digesting plastic. Insects, sapiens, models, and machines are consumed by extraction, ingestion, excretion, and an unconscious drive to return to a state of matter before life.
Kara Ditte Hansen is filmmaker based in so-called Vancouver, BC, Canada. Her films have been screened at such venues as the 13th Seoul Media City Biennale, DOXA, WUFF, WNDX, e-flux screening room, Prismatic Ground, VIFF, Gene Siskel Film Center, Cosmic Rays, Onion City Film Festival, and Antimatter.

only traces of me here is a videopoetic multi-sensory meditation on transience and the passage of time, conveyed through light-and-shadow timelapse in a temporary residence, a physical body glimpsed behind a screen of translucent glass, the bellows-breath notes of an antique accordion, whispered words and onscreen text.
Charlotte Pryce makes films and Magic lantern performances. Her work has screened in numerous festivals including Rotterdam, Oberhausen, Toronto, San Francisco, New York, Hong Kong, Ann Arbor and London. In the spring of 2026, her work was celebrated with Profile screenings at the Oberhausen Film Festival.
